A rescue, by our definition, is a job that was booked and completed within 72 hours.

The call comes in, and inside three days the job is done.

Every entry below is a real job from our records: the city, when it was booked, when it ran, and how fast we turned it around.

No names. Just the work.

That is not unusual work for us.

Most of the jobs we run are last-minute rescue jobs — this log is just the ones the records prove down to the hour.

A mover who never shows up.

A lease that ends today with your things still inside.

A move that has to happen right now, not next week.

Norfolk — booked October 27, job done October 30 — 3 days — movers and a truck for a community services client — 2 movers. The start time had to move to noon on the day; the client was told ahead of time.

Williamsburg — quote asked for the morning of November 3, booking confirmed November 4 at 10:31 in the morning, job done November 5 — about 24 hours — two gun safes, heavy-item move at a flat price

Hampton (Poquoson to Hampton) — booking landed November 3 at 4:59 in the afternoon, job done November 4, paid in full by 8:14 that evening — under 24 hours — movers and a truck — 2 movers

One honest note: if a job's completion was never written down, it is not on this log — even if it ran fast and the customer was happy.

Starting November 6, 2026, every booking we take records what happened — in the customer's own words, and in three parts: what we promised, what the customer promises, and when each happened.

Plenty of fast jobs never made it here for exactly that reason, and we would rather leave them off than guess.

What counts as a rescue?

A job that was booked and completed within 72 hours.

The call comes in and the move is done inside three days.

A mover who no-showed, a lease ending, a closing that moved up, a plan that fell apart.

If the record proves the timing, it goes on the log.

Why are some fast jobs not listed?

Because the record has to prove both the booking time and the completion.

If a job's finish was never written down, we leave it off rather than guess.

Jobs whose completion was never documented cannot be listed.

Does a rescue cost extra?

No.

Rescues run at our published rates: labor only at 75 dollars per mover per hour, movers and a truck from 200 dollars an hour, three-hour minimum.

How fast can you get to me?

That depends on the day and the crews out.

My mover just cancelled. What do I do right now?

Call 757-330-0008 and tell us what happened and what date you are up against.

If we can staff it, we will say so.

If we cannot, we will say that too — straight, and fast, so you still have time to find another way.

Do you take short-notice moves for agencies or community services?

Yes — five of the twelve jobs on this log are exactly that.

If your client's date cannot move, call us first, not last.

Will my job end up on this log?

If it was booked and done inside 72 hours and the record proves both ends of it, yes.

Since November 6, 2026, every booking we take writes down what happened, when you first reached us, and when the crew rolled — so from here on, every rescue verifies itself.
